About the Role:

As a Finance Officer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly. You'll work closely with a small, dynamic team and contribute across a range of finance functions, with a primary focus on accounts payable. You'll also assist with accounts receivable, reconciliations, and other finance tasks. This role is best suited to someone with prior experience in finance operations who can quickly adapt to new systems and processes. While support is available, we're looking for someone confident in managing tasks independently and navigating a fast-paced environment. 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Process high-volume accounts payable invoices and assist with weekly payment runs
  • Administer petty cash, fuel cards, and credit card transactions
  • Support accounts receivable including bank reconciliations and debtor management
  • Monitor finance inboxes and respond to internal and external queries
  • Contribute to audits and continuous process improvement

What We're Looking For | Essential:

  • Demonstrated experience in finance operations, particularly accounts payable
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to changing priorities
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with financial systems (Sage, Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Willing to obtain a Working With Children Check and complete a police check

Desirable:

  • Experience in not-for-profit or large corporate finance environments
  • Exposure to accounting practices (debits, credits, journals)
  • If career progression is in your sights, tertiary qualifications in Business or Accounting (or willingness to study)

Location:

This role has the option for onsite in Batemans Bay, NSW or remote, with initial training required onsite in Batemans Bay.
