A global leading insurance organisation specialising in commercial insurance is seeking a Junior Legal Counsel to join their established team to provide strategic legal advice across APAC.

*Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*

  • Assist with the drafting, negotiation and execution of a range of contracts and agreements.
  • Assist with legal tasks, business projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with researching, advising and training on matters including general insurance and broader corporate and commercial matters.
  • Provide support to the business, including underwriting, claims and marketing on various legal matters as they arise.
  • Contribute to an effective team environment by interacting professionally with all team members and providing, support and assistance as required.
  • Proactively seek to improve legal operations and self through continuous evaluation and improvement of practices and processes.

Experience required:

  • A Bachelor of Laws degree is essential.
  • Admitted to an Australian jurisdiction with a current practicing certificate.
  • Minimum three years PQE ideally in insurance but other financial services experience may be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
