Reitsma Constructions, a well established commercial building company located in with offices in Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong, is seeking a Site Manager to work on our commercial construction projects in the Newcastle/Hunter Region. Our ideal candidate would be well experienced in managing building projects, preferably in the commercial sector.  The position will require good communication skills.

The projects will be generally between 1-20 million dollars, with the occasional larger projects.  Our projects include education, churches, aged care, general commercial & industrial, heritage, interiors and automotive.

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate that they can undertake the following on the day to day running of the site:


Managing site safety

Manage the day to day construction works on site.

Have a hands on approach when it comes to resolving problems.

Supervising and managing on site performance of labour/contractors and suppliers (Quality, time and safety )

Weekly programming of works and allocation of labour.

Order and schedule deliveries.

Coding and approvals of invoices

Management of site documentation ( Drawings / Specification etc ).

Train and mentor junior site staff.

Maintain on going site security.

Liaise directly with head office regarding day to day construction matters.


The use of the following software is ideal, but not mandatory.


Microsoft Project.

Google Workspace
