McHaffie Transport Australia is looking for an Operations Assistant on a dual FIFO to Newman Depot and local Perth Depot basis.

The Roster would consist of 2 Weeks in Newman, 1 Week Break and a Mon - Fri week in Perth.

What we require-

  • You must be reliable and have a positive can-do attitude.
  • Intermediate computer skills (inc Excel & Outlook)
  • Effective time management
  • Planning and organisation skills
  • A strong work ethic
  • LF Forklift ticket or willing to obtain
  • Minimum C class licence but a HR licence would be looked upon favourably
  • Ability to pass Random Drug & Alcohol testing
  • Attention to detail and customer service is a must and you can work independently at times.

Your day would consist of but not limited to -

  • Checking & replying to emails
  • Answering phone calls
  • Basic transport data entry
  • General office duties and cleaning
  • Loading and unloading freight
  • Liaising with our clients in person

On our freight receivals day, there is a large proportion of receiving and dispatching of freight, which entails physical duties.

This is a role with variety and a chance to be home 2 weeks out of every 4 whilst gaining experience in the transport sector.
