FIFO ROLE- Immediate start - 2/2 ROSTER

Australian Portable Camps is a South Australian based, vertically integrated innovative manufacturer that operates throughout Australia.

Currently we have vacancies for experienced Electrical Supervisors (with Refrigeration Mech. highly desirable) to join our team for a WA project.

If successful, you will be required to work with minimal supervision and be able to achieve high-quality workmanship. You will enjoy a unique workplace, where all workers are valued, respected and looked after at all levels. 

Electrical Supervisor responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor the project, electrical compliance certificate sign off.
  • Supervise up to 2 personals.
  • Looking after all areas as directed, in a remote area and in conditions that will be challenging at times.

Electricians' responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance team to ensure efficient and safe work.
  • Allocate tasks and manage schedules for team members.
  • Ensure all electrical systems and equipment across camps are well-maintained and operating efficiently.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs to systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards (e.g., Australian standards, WHS regulations).
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the team.
  • Diagnose faults and troubleshoot issues to identify problems and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Supervise repairs, installations and serving of generators & machinery.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance work, repairs, inspections, and tests.
  • Provide regular reports to management on the status of maintenance throughout the village, ongoing issues, and work progress.
  • Manage the procurement and inventory of parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order and meets necessary safety standards.
  • Work closely with other departments, including operations and safety teams, to ensure requirements are met for projects.
  • Collaborate with external contractors when necessary for specialized work.
  • Lead the response to any emergencies, ensuring swift and effective resolution to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
  • Conduct daily prestart, including CCC's, Take 5's, JHA/SWIMS and PTW (as required)

Qualifications:

  • A Class Electrical Licence -WA
  • Refrigeration ticket - Desirable
  • Experience in Commercial Electrical
  • CPR/LVR
  • Must have a current driver's licence
  • Camp maintenance experience - Preferred
  • WA contractor's licence - Essential
  • Machinery tickets and High Risk licence – Preferred
  • RIO Inducted
  • Schedule 26

Essential Prior to Mobilisation

  • White Card
  • Mandatory Inductions required before site entry
  • Willingness to be vaccinated for Hep. A and Hep. B, Tetanus if not already

Immediate start (for the successful applicant)

This role is FIFO from nearest capital city.

Attractive rate including travel days and training allowances.
