An exciting opportunity have come up for an experienced caring and dedicated Residential Care Officer for immediate start. The position requires at least 12 months of relevant experience preferably in an aged care or disability setting. The role requires a mature and enthusiastic work attitude and should have a commitment for long-term employment.

As Residential Care Officer, duties will include:

  • Providing support for people with disability living in group housing or government care institution
  • Assessing client's needs and assists in the planning for and accessing support options
  • Assessing client's needs and assists them to plan for and access education and training programs
  • Assess the nature and extent of difficulties and report on the progress of clients
  • Refer clients to agencies that can provide additional help
  • Assess community need and resources for other services
  • Liaising with community groups and the general community to promote awareness of the services and resources available at the facility
  • Adhering to health and safety guidelines and policies to keep yourself and our customers safe
  • Reporting any issues or changes in the customer's health and wellbeing through the appropriate channels and protocols

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant associate degree, advanced diploma or diploma
  • At least 12 months of work experience in a similar role
  • Current driver's license
  • A NDIS workers screening check or be willing to obtain one
  • Passionate about caring and committed to client well being
  • Applicants must have excellent communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $76,515.00 – $85,000.00 per year
