About Us:
Goaldis Community Services is a registered NDIS provider that delivers Supported Independent Living (SIL) and community-based services for people living with mental health conditions, psychosocial disabilities, autism, and complex support needs. The organisation focuses on promoting independence, wellbeing, and recovery through person-centred and trauma-informed practices.
Position Summary:
The Residential Care Officer will oversee day-to-day operations across SIL homes, ensure participant wellbeing, and maintain compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and organisational policies. The role includes developing care plans, onboarding new clients, monitoring service delivery, and supporting quality and safety requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily care operations in SIL homes.
- Develop, review, and maintain person-centred and behaviour support plans.
- Conduct participant wellbeing checks and ensure safe living environments.
- Facilitate onboarding and transition for new participants.
- Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and company procedures.
- Review and monitor incident reports, risk assessments, and follow-up actions.
- Assist in preparing for internal and external audits.
- Provide guidance and training to support workers on compliance and best practice.
- Maintain accurate records and case documentation.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, allied health professionals, and support coordinators.
Selection Criteria / Requirements:
- Qualification in Mental Health, Disability, Community Services, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within SIL or mental health services.
- Knowledge of NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
- Strong written, verbal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid & CPR Certificate, and driver's licence.
- Right to work in Australia.
Conditions:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with occasional after-hours requirements.
- Salary based on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award, dependent on qualifications and experience.
