We're in an exciting growth phase in Woodfrog's history expanding our reach, deepening customer connection, and building the kind of brand that sticks in hearts (and shopping baskets).

Woodfrog is Melbourne's go-to for exceptional sourdough — baked the old way, served with modern flair, and never done by halves. We've grown from flour-covered benches to a bakery loved across the city.

And now, we're looking for a retail Marketing Specialist who is as comfortable deep-diving into campaign data as they are creating content that captures the perfect golden crust. This is a hands-on role, perfect for a true "marketing all-rounder".  It's the type of role where you won't be wrapped in a corporate doona, but you will feel the immense pride of delivering meaningful results on a shoestring budget. You'll bring campaigns to life, manage content across channels, and turn insights into action, always keeping the Woodfrog brand fresh, fast, and effective.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you'll be a critical part of a small but mighty team. We move fast across the whole business, but we're nimble — which means you'll learn more here in a week than you might in months elsewhere.

We believe the best marketing starts with knowing your product and your customer, so you'll spend a small slice of your week (less than two hours) in-store. That's where you'll meet customers, get to know 'the goods' (our phenomenal sourdough and pastries), and capture authentic moments you just can't fake.

What You'll Own

Campaign & project coordination

• Support business growth by delivering on Woodfrog's marketing objectives, policies, and programs.

• Coordinate marketing activity across the business - managing assets, timelines, and on-brand delivery.

• Develop and execute campaigns — from seasonal launches to retail promotions — that keep the brand fresh, visible, and relevant.

• Liaise with agencies and suppliers - briefing creative, managing rollouts, and coordinating store requirements.

Digital

• Own our social media channels - planning, posting, and reporting across Meta.

• Capture in-store and on-location content (driver's licence is required).

• Keep website content fresh and accurate.

• Manage email marketing, CRM activity, and our Google Business Profiles - from updates to review responses.

• Bonus points for experience coordinating influencer and creator relationships - from outreach and gifting to approvals and reporting.

• Provide advice and execution across SEO, social media marketing, and associated analytics.

Analytics

• Analyse store and product performance to uncover trends and opportunities.

• Track and report on digital performance (social, GA4, and other channels) — turning insights into action.

Local Area Marketing (LAM)

• Support LAM — from event materials and centre partnerships to community engagement campaigns.

What you'll bring

• 2–4 years' retail marketing experience - ideally in food or hospitality.

• Proven end-to-end social media management skills (Meta focus) with a knack for content that connects.

• Canva confidence and a sharp eye for brand-aligned design.

• Strong copywriting and storytelling skills with flawless grammar - detail matters here.

• Confident with analytics tools (Meta, GA4, CRM dashboards); Abacus POS knowledge is a plus.

• Fluent in Excel - from pivot tables to formulas, you can turn data into stories that sell.

• Comfortable updating websites, managing CRM activity, and running email campaigns.

• Experience managing Google Business Profiles and responding to customer reviews.

• Organised, proactive, adaptable, and able to juggle multiple projects at pace.

• Customer-obsessed, collaborative, and hands-on. You'll be happy in-store, behind the camera, or deep in a spreadsheet.

• A current driver's licence - you'll be on the move capturing content.
