In the role of Project Management Office Lead (Transformation), you will manage the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to deliver independent assurance across program delivery, risk mitigation, and benefits realisation.

Your role will drive robust assurance, governance, and performance frameworks that underpin the successful delivery of Council's transformation programs, including the Transforming Boroondara program. This role will foster effective communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders and serve as a bridge between the program delivery team, including executive leadership.

This is a pivotal opportunity to contribute to a transformative program that aligns with the Council's strategic objectives and community vision.

A little bit about the role

You will be responsible for providing strategic governance and oversight of the transformation portfolio. This includes the end-to-end management of the project pipeline and supporting the initiation and prioritisation of projects, tracking critical activities, and providing independent quality assurance. You will drive ongoing uplift and continuous improvement of the prescribed project governance frameworks and lead effective collaboration and communication from the TMO to Executive Leadership and sponsors and stakeholders.

You have a knack for inspiring teams, collaborating across departments, and influencing executive leadership.

Employment requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Program Management or similar
  • Several years experience in a consulting or government environment with a primary focus on program management and administration
  • Demonstrated experience in project management tools and the development of reports and dashboards for Executives, Managements teams and Project Managers
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer experience, teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Applicants must have the right to work in Australia
  • Preferred applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check
