We're seeking a Senior Direct Support Worker based in Coopers Plains to help us deliver exceptional outcomes to our clients.

As our Senior Direct Support Worker, you will be providing our clients with a variety of supports including medications administration, personal care, transfers and mealtime assistance. You will also be overseeing the work of others to ensure they work effectively to deliver high quality services to our clients, whilst supporting with administration involved in the day-to-day running of the SIL.

Selection criteria includes:

  • Previous experience and the ability to oversee the work of others; managing or leading a team
  • Previous experience working in support work and providing high quality services to individuals with disabilities
  • Experience in general administration functions, such as records management - administration skills is a must
  • High level of computer literacy, Microsoft suite and systems
  • Exceptional organisational skills and a willingness to learn rosters
  • Use different types of hoists, slide sheets and other mobility aids
  • Respond positively to challenging behaviours and restrictive practices
  • Administer medications and implement health care plans
  • Provide clients with personal care with the up-most dignity and respect
  • Provide support and assistance to teams with service delivery, including both hands-on support and administration
