Job Title: Support Worker – High Intensity Assistance (Personal Daily Activities)

About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and skilled Support Workers to provide high-level personal care and daily living assistance to a client with complex needs who is predominantly bed-bound. The client requires PEG feeding, continence support, and a high standard of personal care. This role is ideal for someone reliable, empathetic, and professional who can deliver safe, person-centred care while promoting dignity, comfort, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-intensity personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and repositioning.
  • Deliver PEG feeding and follow all health-related care plans.
  • Provide continence care, including changing nappies and maintaining hygiene.
  • Assist with nutritional and hydration needs, including meal preparation as required.
  • Maintain skin integrity and support pressure care management.
  • Use safe manual handling practices, including hoist transfers and repositioning.
  • Maintain accurate progress notes, incident reports, and documentation.
  • Support participation in meaningful daily activities when possible.

About You

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent
  • Experience providing high-intensity personal care to clients with complex needs.
  • Competence in PEG feeding and continence care. PEG Feeding Certificate
  • Strong manual handling and hoist transfer skills. Manual Handling Certificate
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Empathetic, patient, and committed to delivering person-centred care.
  • Reliable, flexible, and proactive with a strong work ethic.
