An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced finance professional to join a successful, growing business in an attractive Southgate location.

Advent One, now in its 25th year, has built a successful business as a leading provider of professional and managed services across hybrid infrastructure, automation, observability, security and cloud. Advent One is proudly an Australian, privately held and employee-owned business. This translates to an acute understanding of mutual success for our clients and our company.

This is a diverse role that requires a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality. It will be responsible for key Finance and Administrative duties, ensuring appropriate systems and procedures are in place for future expansion.

In this role, your key responsibilities duties will include…

  • Accounting of transactional data, month end accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, stewardship procedures as well as budgeting and forecasting
  • End to end Payroll & Accounts Payable
  • Preparation of Payroll Tax, FBT, BAS & PAYG, and Superannuation returns

  • Manage the Fixed Asset Register

  • Reconciling bank accounts and preparing weekly reports

  • Overview of cash flow forecasting
  • Assist with year-end financial reporting, audits and compliance requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial controls, processes and reporting

To be a successful candidate for this role, it is essential that you have…

  • 5+ years demonstrated experience in finance / accounting
  • Accredited tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
  • Proficiency in MS Office & ERP (MYOB Acumatica or similar)
  • Demonstrated AP/AR & Payroll expertise
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, including attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong team orientation
  • High level of numeracy and literacy skills
  • Track record as a committed and organised self-starter
