Our client is a major global financial institution with a well-established presence across Asia-Pacific, providing a full spectrum of corporate and investment banking services. The Australian business is active across project and structured finance, corporate lending and debt capital markets. The team has a strong track record in originating, structuring, and distributing complex credit products across a diverse set of sectors, including energy, renewables and infrastructure, including digital infrastructure . With deep local market knowledge combined with global capabilities, the business is recognised for its technical expertise, client-centric approach, and ability to execute sophisticated transactions at scale.
We are seeking a Vice President to join the loan syndications team in Sydney, distributing exposures to a broad investor base across the region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing, structuring, and underwriting a range of non-flow (project/asset finance) and flow (corporate/leveraged) loans originated in Australia and New Zealand. You will work closely with the product teams throughout the deal process and will collaborate with the APAC team to support investor engagement through primary and extended syndication processes.
You will have a minimum of 6 years' experience of relevant banking experience, within a loan syndications or capital markets team, and hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline. You will have a strong understanding of the Australian and New Zealand loan syndication markets and the key investors in asset classes including project finance (energy, renewables, infrastructure, digital infrastructure, real estate, metals and mining), fund financing, corporate and leveraged loans. A proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, and internal teams is essential, alongside excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
