Your role
Corrective Services NSW is looking for a library technician to play a pivotal role in the delivery of services to diverse customers across NSW. If you have a desire to provide great customer service and develop improvements based on what's important to library users, please read on and consider joining our team.
What you'll do
You'll join a dedicated team of 7 information professionals who work from two locations - the leafy surrounds of the Corrective Services NSW Academy in Eastwood, and the Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre (MRRC) in Silverwater.
As the Librarian Technician, you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Support the operation and maintenance of library services and systems
Deliver high-quality library services in person and online using current and relevant resources
Maintain records, shelve materials, and assist clients with borrowing
Assist with collection maintenance, including stocktake, weeding, and reorganisation
Apply policies and procedures; maintain statistics and escalate issues as needed
Create and update records in the library system using industry standards
Contribute to projects that improve library processes and services.
You'll work at both the Academy and MRRC Libraries and foster strong connections with our customers, community, and other stakeholders.
