The Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional for a 12-month role to guide the  Windows 11 upgrade and secure SOE deployment across our enterprise environment.

You will provide technical leadership for the design, build, and rollout of a Windows 11 Standard Operating Environment (SOE) This role requires a balance of deep technical expertise in endpoint management and strong vendor/stakeholder coordination skills, ensuring the successful and secure delivery of the Windows 11 program.

In this role, you will:


• Lead the planning, architecture, and execution of Windows 11 deployments in a hybrid environment (Azure AD, Intune, SCCM).


• Work closely with managed service providers and internal stakeholders to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality technical outcomes.


• Oversee the development and execution of test plans covering OS images, application compatibility, deployment success, and security baseline compliance.


• Produce clear documentation for technical stakeholders, project managers, and governance bodies.


• Proactively identify and resolve technical risks, particularly in areas where network limitations affect Intune/Autopilot deployments.


• Manage the integration of third-party solutions and services, ensuring deliverables meet project and organisational requirements.

Skills and Experience Required:


• Has proven experience leading large-scale Windows 10/11 deployment projects in enterprise or government environments.


• Has demonstrated ability to design, implement, or test security baselines and adhere to compliance standards. Experience with system hardening guidelines and relevant frameworks


• Has Intune, SCCM, and Windows Autopilot expertise in a hybrid environment.


• Has deep knowledge of Windows 10/11 enterprise features and OS deployment processes.


• Has a solid grasp of networking principles as they affect device deployment and cloud services.


• Has a proven ability to coordinate with external service providers and cross-functional teams to deliver project outcomes.


• Is detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, the ability to manage issues and risks, and collaborate effectively.


• Has excellent communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise documentation.

Location and Contract Term: This role is based in Melbourne, VIC. 12 month contract with 2 x 3-month extension options pending budget and delegate approval.
