People and Culture Generalist

An exciting opportunity has opened for a passionate and people-focused People & Culture Generalist to join our by charlotte HQ team. We're looking for an exceptional, brand-aligned team member who will champion our vision, embody our culture, and help create meaningful employee experiences across every touchpoint.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you'll play a hands-on role across all areas of HR, working closely with leaders to build an engaged, high-performing team. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with leaders on position descriptions, job adverts, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
- Managing the full employee lifecycle – from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between.
- Acting as the first point of contact for HR and compliance queries, including awards and employment legislation.
- Ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of HRIS records.
- Coordinating onboarding programs and learning initiatives through our LMS.
- Conducting WHS compliance checks, risk assessments, and supporting return-to-work programs.
- Promoting a safety-first and wellbeing-focused culture across the business.
- Coaching managers on people leadership and performance management.
- Supporting employee relations, engagement, and cultural initiatives.
- Championing diversity, inclusion, and belonging across our teams.
ABOUT YOU
You're a proactive, adaptable, and approachable HR professional with 2–4 years' experience in People & Culture — ideally within retail or another fast-paced, people-first environment. You bring a strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and Modern Awards, confidence using HRIS and payroll systems (bonus points for Employment Hero), and a knack for balancing compliance with care. With your natural warmth, attention to detail, and drive to make an impact, you'll help shape a workplace where our people truly thrive.
