Medical Receptionist – Full-Time, Part-Time or Casual

Long Beach Medical Centre & Newdegate Street Health Centre

We're currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to support our mission of delivering quality healthcare with compassion. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dedicated team in a role that truly makes a difference.

About the Role:

  • Position Type: Full-Time, Part-time or Casual (1–4 days per week)
  • Availability Required: Weekdays only (No Weekends or Public Holidays)
  • Location: Long Beach Medical Centre & Newdegate Street Health Centre
  • Start Date: Immediate start available

What We're Looking For:

  • Prior experience in medical reception or administration (highly regarded)
  • Familiarity with Best Practice software (preferred; training available)
  • Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • A warm, professional manner when dealing with patients and colleagues
  • Excellent multitasking and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and billing
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
  • Current vaccination and immunisation status

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and respond to phone and in-person enquiries
  • Schedule and manage appointments efficiently
  • Accurately enter and update patient information
  • Process billing and allocate payments
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical and administrative teams
