About the role

We are seeking an experienced and extremely organized individual to join our team at our Dandenong South warehouse.  Assisting our Warehouse Manager, you will be accountable for the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and responsible for ensuring that our warehouse operates efficiently, effectively and safely.  Leading a team of 4, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Organisation of work activities in the warehouse
  • All inbound and outbound inventory movements
  • Secure storage of inventory in the warehouse
  • Efficient utilization of warehouse space and equipment
  • Loading and unloading of containers and delivery vehicles
  • Ensuring the warehouse is clean, safe and presentable at all times
  • Compliance with, and implementation of WHS policies and procedures, ensuring all staff comply
  • Participation in identifying improvements to Work, Health and Safety

About You

To be considered for this position you will have:

  • A minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • A Certificate in Warehouse Management will be highly regarded
  • Current driver's licence is a must
  • Forklift and order picker licences will be highly regarded
  • Hands on experience with warehouse management software (SAP will be highly regarded)

Candidates will be required to exhibit the following attributes:

  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Organised and able to meet deadlines
  • Clear knowledge of government legislation, transport and warehousing

Previous experience from within the tyre and wheel industry would be a distinct advantage.

The successful applicant will be entitled to purchase product at discount rates and will be provided with on-the-job training.

Forklift and order picker licencing training is included (if required) for the right person.
