The Opportunity:

We're seeking a
dynamic, people-focused, and results-driven leader
to join us as
Country Manager
, managing our Australian and New Zealand operations.

Based at our Lidcombe Head Office and reporting to the SVP of International Business, this senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing strategic direction, driving business growth, and ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded across the region.

You'll play a critical role in shaping our regional expansion, developing high-performing teams, and serving as the key liaison between CDS Global leadership, Costco senior management, and key local stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Business & Financial Leadership


• Full P&L ownership, including setting, managing, and delivering financial targets and budgets


• Lead operational excellence and national business strategy across both countries


• Identify and secure new business opportunities through senior-level engagement


• Negotiate commercial terms and supplier agreements to drive revenue and category expansion


• Oversee marketing strategy, brand positioning, and cost-effective program delivery

Operational Execution


• Translate strategic vision into clear operational plans with effective resource allocation


• Strengthen supplier/vendor relationships and ensure alignment with business objectives


• Maintain high in-store execution standards through routine visits and performance reviews


• Monitor KPI's and implement continuous improvements


• Represent CDS at key events, elevating our brand with senior stakeholders

Strategic Leadership


• Define and lead country-level growth strategy, including new market development


• Position CDS as a trusted advisor to Costco and suppliers


• Champion innovation and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Relationship Management


• Act as the senior executive point of contact for Costco and supplier leadership


• Build and nurture strong, trust-based partnerships at all levels


• Empower and guide your leadership team to strengthen client and supplier engagement


• Represent CDS with professionalism and accountability in all interactions

About You:

You're a strategic thinker and a confident leader with a proven ability to drive growth and lead diverse, high-performing teams.

Key Qualifications & Experience


• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or equivalent experience


• 10+ years' professional experience (12+ preferred), with leadership roles in FMCG, retail, or operations


• Demonstrated P&L ownership and commercial acumen


• Experience in trading, retail services, or store operations strongly desired


• 8–10 years' experience managing and developing teams; international team management a plus


• Solid understanding of product development, category management, logistics, and marketing


• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships across multiple stakeholders


• Strong time management and prioritization skills in fast-paced environments


• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills


• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hands-on leadership style


• Knowledge of employment law, HR practices, and budgeting


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfort with web-based systems


• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
