About the Role

A newly created Android Developer opportunity is available with a product-based business in the resources sector. You'll join a small, collaborative team in Perth, contributing to software that's deployed in the field and plays a key role in operational decision-making.

This is a hands-on role focused on developing and enhancing the Android tablet component of their product. The work will begin with improvements to the Android application (front-end focused), with the potential to expand into other products such as web applications and related software.

You'll work closely with a Development Lead and another Android developer, taking ownership of solutions while being supported in a collaborative environment. The role will begin as a 12-month contract, with a strong likelihood of converting to a permanent position.

You Should Have

  • 6 months+ commercial Android development experience (Kotlin/Android)
  • Experience with current Android versions, and a willingness to work with older versions (6 or 11) where required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Confidence contributing individually while participating in sprints and planning sessions

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to C#, SQL Server, React, , or Azure
  • Industry experience in mining or resources
  • 1–2 years' commercial experience, or recently out of university
  • Interest in expanding across different product stacks
