About the Role

As our
Senior Financial Accountant
, you'll be a key driver of financial excellence across the business.

You'll take ownership of financial reporting, statutory compliance, audits, reconciliations, and process improvement — all while supporting the strategic finance activities that keep Strait Link moving.

This is a role for someone who wants to go beyond basic accounting — someone who takes pride in precision, improves systems, strengthens controls, and helps elevate the finance function.

What You'll Drive

Financial Reporting & Performance

• Prepare accurate monthly financial reports across decentralised operations
• Maintain general ledger and subledgers with integrity and attention to detail
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance insights
• Complete month-end activities and drive improvement in reporting accuracy

Compliance, Tax & Audit Readiness

• Prepare and submit monthly BAS, annual FBT, payroll tax and assist with income tax returns
• Develop audit schedules, coordinate responses, and support external auditors
• Ensure compliance with financial and statutory requirements across the business

Controls, Systems & Process Improvement

• Strengthen financial controls, policies, and d
• Documented procedures
• Resolve discrepancies through high-quality reconciliations
• Contribute to ESG and NGER reporting requirements
• Support continuous improvement across finance systems and processes

Team Contribution & Leadership

• Mentor junior finance team members
• Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to lift financial capability
• Provide trusted support to the Financial Accounting Manager and Financial Controller

This role blends technical mastery, ownership, and real influence — ideal for an ambitious accountant ready for their next step.

What You'll Bring

• 3–5 years of hands-on financial accounting experience
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, and taxation requirements
• Experience preparing BAS, FBT, and other statutory obligations
• High accuracy, analytical capability, and problem-solving strength
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (strong Excel skills essential)
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and communicate clearly
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Business
• CPA or CA
