- Spearhead system implementation

- Lead and manage the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll in compliance with relevant legislation and enterprise agreements.
- Drive the implementation of a new payroll system, including project planning, change management, and post-implementation support.
- Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives across payroll processes, systems, and reporting.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to ensure seamless integration and alignment of payroll with broader business systems.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations including superannuation, taxation, and reporting requirements.
- Provide strategic insights and reporting to senior leadership on payroll trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Other ad hoc tasks
- Proven experience in a senior payroll leadership role, ideally within a large, complex organisation.
- Demonstrated success in leading payroll system implementations or major process transformations.
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement.
