- **The Opportunity**:
- The Payroll Manager will ensure the operational aspects of end-to-end payroll processing and associated activities, including salary disbursement, overpayment recovery, leave management and reporting are accurate and delivered within an appropriate timeframe and comply with relevant legislation.
- **In this role, some of the following duties you will undertake but not limited to**:
- Manage a team performing the operational aspects of end-to-end payroll processing and associated activities, including salary disbursement, overpayment recovery, leave management and reporting are accurate and delivered within appropriate timeframes and comply with relevant legislation.
- Ensure pay runs for Blue-Collar and White-Collar workforce are calculated in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Performing system quality control audits and update when necessary. Develop, review and update payroll policies and procedures based on best practice benchmarking.
- Review monthly client claims.Review payroll and human resource information for data input and assist with checking, quality control and maintenance of records to ensure accuracy, service quality and data integrity and provide best practice advice where necessary.
- Manage and review the preparation of taxes, superannuation and other legislative and statutory obligations through processing and preparation of returns, related reports, forms and other documentation as requested. (PAYG, Payroll Taxes, Redundancy Funds, Long Service Leave Funds etc)
- Provide a responsive, accurate client advisory service on payroll matters, resolve difficult enquiries and assist in identifying payroll errors and implementing corrective action where required to ensure employee payments are processed accurately and database integrity is maintained. SME for payroll related queries.
- Attend education session on payroll legislation updates and educate team members on changes.
- Review payroll payments and ensure errors less than 1% of total payroll disbursement.
- Finalise and roll over the EOFY Data and submit Final STP Data to the ATO before cut-off date. Update annual system changes (Tax Scale, Superannuation, Redundancy rates etc)
- Internal management reporting (FBT, Casual Conversion, Leave Data, Workers Compensation reconciliation for EOY lodgements with Insurers, WGEA Reporting etc)
- Oversee South East Asia Payroll
