About the Role

We are seeking an
energetic and self- driven Environmental Officer to join our Maintenance
team based at our Wagga Wagga processing site in New South Wales. The
successful candidate will be responsible for providing environmental services
at various levels, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the Environmental
Protection License, Trade Waste Agreement and development approvals.

Reporting to
our Facility Asset Manager, the position will coordinate a range of
activities, including assessing, monitoring and reporting of wastewater and
biogas system, as well as noise, odour and air emissions. You will also lead
investigations and collaborate with auditing processes, whilst contributing to
continuous improvement and reduction of environmental impacts on site.

About You

It is essential that you have the
following experience/skills:

  • Exposure
    to wastewater treatment, and other environmental related matters
  • Demonstrated
    personal initiative and learning capability
  • Excellent
    verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage
    both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Passionate
    and dedicated work ethic with a 'can-do' attitude and a continuous improvement
    mindset.

Desirable:

  • Tertiary
    qualification in environmental science or equivalent
  • Exposure
    to and knowledge of wastewater treatment technology, biogas collection and
    combustion systems.
  • Experience
    in administering an environmental protection program within a manufacturing
    environment
  • Awareness
    and/or understanding of NSW Environmental Legislation and Regulation.
  • Experience
    in auditing of environmental performance.
