We're seeking a strategic Senior Manager – Learning and Development to lead our national learning strategy, building capability across our corporate team and dealer network while driving a culture of growth and performance.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of HR & Learning, you will lead Mazda's enterprise-wide learning strategy, managing a team delivering technical, sales, service, and leadership training across internal teams and the dealer network. You'll create innovative programs and enhance digital learning experiences to empower people and drive excellence.

This position requires a full-time,
in-office presence (five days a week)
to foster collaboration and effective teamwork, based at our National Head Office in Mulgrave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution
    of Mazda Australia's learning and development strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Inspire and manage a high-performing team
    of L&D professionals delivering programs across technical, sales, product and service areas.
  • Partner with senior leaders and the dealer network
    to identify capability needs, set learning priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement
    , integrating modern learning approaches and technologies.
  • Oversee e-learning and digital transformation
    , ensuring our Learning Management System and content deliver engaging, effective experiences.
  • Manage budgets, partnerships, and compliance
    , driving efficiency and ensuring high standards across all programs.
  • Cultivate a safe, inclusive and high-performing learning culture
    that reflects Mazda's brand values and people-first philosophy.

About You:

You are a strategic L&D leader who inspires and empowers people, builds trusted relationships, and drives continuous improvement. Embracing innovation, you deliver programs that enhance capability and business performance.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Degree in a business or training related discipline
  • 7+ years' experience leading L&D strategy in large or multi-site organisations.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver learning frameworks aligned to business goals.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with executives and partners.
  • Expertise in program design, facilitation, and digital learning.
  • Excellent project management and budgeting skills, focused on results and efficiency.
  • Passionate about developing people and leading high-performing teams.
