Role Summary

We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SEO Executive with 1–2 years of experience to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, refine their SEO craft, and work on complex and high-impact SEO campaigns.

You will work directly with our Head of SEO, gaining advanced hands-on training while supporting the execution of campaigns for larger, lead-generation-focused clients. You'll play a critical role in implementing technical and content strategies, assisting with audits and performance tracking, and learning how to apply deeper strategic SEO thinking.

At our agency, you won't be juggling 50+ accounts — instead, you'll work with a focused group of long-standing clients (3–7+ years), gaining the time and space to understand their businesses, contribute to meaningful strategy, and accelerate your growth. You'll work closely with me, gaining exposure to planning, forecasting, KPI setting, and client communications — all critical skills for stepping confidently into a future team lead or SEO manager role."

Key Responsibilities

  1. Campaign Execution & Optimization

  2. Assist in executing SEO strategies across professional service B2C and B2B websites.

  3. Conduct keyword research, optimise meta tags, and map content to search intent.
  4. Implement on-page SEO best practices across client landing pages and blogs.

  5. Technical SEO Support

  6. Run technical audits using Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or SEMrush.

  7. Identify crawl issues, indexing errors, and mobile usability concerns.
  8. Assist in implementing schema markup, image optimisation, and Core Web Vitals improvements.

  9. Content Collaboration

  10. Support content teams with SEO briefs and keyword insights.

  11. Review and recommend optimisation for new and existing content.
  12. Ensure content aligns with conversion and lead-generation objectives.

  13. Performance Reporting

  14. Monitor keyword movements, organic traffic trends, and engagement data.

  15. Build and maintain client dashboards
  16. Support in monthly performance reporting and insights development.

  17. Learning & Development

  18. Receive direct mentorship from the Head of SEO, with weekly 1:1 training.

  19. Apply learning to real-world client challenges in increasingly strategic ways.

What we're looking for

  • 1–2 years of hands-on SEO experience (agency preferred)
  • Comfortable engaging with client and working independently
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in technical implementation and reporting
  • Proficient in auditing and diagnosing SEO issues across content, technical, and local
  • Confident communicator — you can explain SEO to non-SEOs with ease
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and eager to learn and grow
  • Coachable and passionate, with big goals and the grit to reach them

Salary Range

  • A$75,000 – A$85,000 AUD Salary Package
  • Based on experience and capability
