Green Light are looking for a Knowledge Manger to work with one of the global Systems Integrator. The Knowledge Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and improving the framework and systems that deliver effective Knowledge Management for the entire organisation.

You would have to understand the current Knowledge Management systems they have in-place and help the organization better understand the gaps and help improve any frameworks that are in-place.

Responsibilities:-

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Produce, for Government review and approval, Knowledge Management (KM) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Provide surveys, interviews, and the results of each that enable methods of sharing knowledge both within and outside of the organization as well as vertically and laterally.
  • Provide formats and recommendations in the management and use of SharePoint from any prioritized KM Working Group recommendations which facilitate knowledge sharing within the organization.
  • Provide status updates to the client including actual versus planned task progress made, schedule status, surveys/interviews conducted, meetings attended, issues, and recommendations.
  • Design, develop and implement initiatives to increase self-service for clients, and improve the responsiveness and efficiency
  • Initiate content reviews of FAQs, policies, procedures, and processes in accordance with agreed timelines.
  • Manage the content and knowledge management structures e.g. meta data to ensure content is well organised and easy to access by customers.
  • Manage updates of content with special attention to the dependencies between different knowledge types i.e. FAQs, policies, forms and procedures.
  • Identify documentation gaps and work with process owners to ensure gaps are addressed.

Experience:

  • You must have experience across a wide range of knowledge management tools and have strong technical writing/ process mapping skills. You should also be able to build strong relationships with senior level stakeholders and have strong influencing skills
  • Consultative experience gathering business requirements from multiple stakeholders and designing bespoke solutions
  • Deep understanding of best practice document control and management processes
  • Ability to analyse data and formulate actions based on data with strong MS Visio and Excel skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Process documentation abilities
  • Graduate degree or diploma in business, knowledge management or a related discipline and/or experience deemed equivalent
  • Process improvement, implementation and Change management experience
  • High level of expertise in driving knowledge management systems, processes and tools in a shared service environment, including deep expertise in content management and delivery of self-service tools and interfaces to clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and drive knowledge management process and reporting improvements with measurable impact on the quality of client service and process efficiency
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and contribute to a cross-functional team positively.
  • High level of proficiency in one or more knowledge management, content management and service management tools
  • As owner of a complex and critical KM Framework, you will oversee the management of information within this high-profile, newly created practice, and ensure information needs of organisation and clients are met in an effective, efficient and innovative manner.
  • Due to the nature of the work, this role requires Australian citizenship and an active NV1 level security clearance.
