About the Role
As our Sous Chef, you'll be the right hand to our Head Chef, helping to run the kitchen smoothly and maintaining the highest standards in food quality, presentation, and safety. You'll be a hands-on leader, guiding and mentoring junior kitchen staff, assisting with menu planning, managing stock, and stepping up to lead when the Head Chef is away.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Oversee food preparation and ensure consistent quality and presentation.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive team culture.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and OH&S standards.
- Help control food costs and reduce waste.
About You
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie.
- Culinary qualification or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Flexible availability, including nights and weekends.
- Passion for food, creativity, and delivering a great dining experience.
