Are you organised, friendly, and enjoy keeping things running smoothly? Merchantwise Group is looking for an
Office Administrator & Receptionist
to support our Millers Point office. This is a hands-on, people-focused role where you'll be the welcoming face of the office and the go-to person for all things admin.

About the role
Based in our Millers Point office, you'll provide day-to-day administrative and reception support to team members across Merchantwise Group.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys variety, likes helping others, and takes pride in creating a welcoming, well-organised office environment. We offer hybrid working – you'll be in the office
at least two days per week
, with flexibility to work from home on other days.
This could be a full-time role, or a part-time/job-share arrangement
(around 0.8 FTE spread across the week).

What you'll be doing

  • Act as the first point of contact for staff on office/admin matters
  • Welcome visitors, greet clients, answer phones
  • Coordinate meeting rooms, prepare refreshments, tidy up after meetings
  • Oversee premises and facilities (keys, access, maintenance, contractors)
  • Manage office supplies, mail, deliveries, storage, petty cash, and vendors
  • Look after the kitchen/bar area, suppliers, and dishwasher
  • Arrange cleaning and maintenance for the office
  • Book travel as directed
  • Support team activities including drinks, events, and team-building days
  • Ensure workplace health & safety compliance, including first aid supplies

About you
We're looking for someone who is:

  • Naturally warm, helpful, and approachable
  • Organised and reliable, with great attention to detail
  • Happy to roll up their sleeves and manage a wide variety of tasks
  • Comfortable working in the Millers Point office two days per week

This role may suit someone returning to the workforce, or someone who thrives in a supportive, behind-the-scenes role rather than chasing the next step up. Previous office admin, reception, or facilities experience is highly regarded, but just as important is your can-do attitude and ability to make the office a welcoming place.
