Position Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Manager will oversee maintenance operations and minor projects across the Illawarra and South Coast Regions. This pivotal role involves ensuring contractual obligations are met, overseeing day-to-day facility maintenance operations, and fostering strong relationships with clients, staff, and trade services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate facility maintenance operations to meet contractual obligations and performance targets.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with company policies, occupational health and safety standards, building codes, and statutory requirements.
  • Lead and inspire a team of maintenance providers to deliver exceptional service and achieve operational excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders to proactively address maintenance issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilise asset and construction management software (e.g., Simpro) to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Provide strategic leadership in service delivery, innovation, and planning to support organisational goals and cultivate a collaborative work culture.
  • Participate actively in contract meetings, providing insights on performance, challenges, and improvement strategies.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Proven experience as a Facilities Maintenance Manager, ideally with a background in a trade.
  • Strong communication skills with a track record in client management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in asset and construction management software, such as Simpro, to optimise maintenance operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage services in critical environments and oversee capital works projects effectively.
