As a teacher at Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School, you will be responsible for delivering quality teaching and learning experiences that develop students' learning potential. This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate educator dedicated to inspiring a love of science among students. This full time position will commence in January 2026.

The salary will be commensurate with the successful applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience, based on the teaching salaries outlined in the Independent Schools NSW Teachers Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025 ($90,100 - $127,281).

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivery of engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitoring student progress through data analysis and assessment outcomes, using this information to inform teaching practices and interventions.
  • Encouraging an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and fosters critical thinking among students.
  • Liaising with parents, carers and guardians to promote understanding of the importance of Science education.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional proficiency in Science, with experience or keen interest in Physics.
  • Ability to teach across the full range of Science subjects.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Science syllabus documents and assessment strategies.
  • Demonstrated excellence and proficiency as a classroom teacher.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using educational technology and digital resources.

Required Experience

  • A minimum five years experience teaching Science at a secondary level is preferred.
  • Appropriate Bachelor's degree in education or a related field and NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.
