About the role

The Team Leader Accommodation manages Clients Accommodation services across Metro Melbourne. The Team Leader Accommodation VIC is responsible for developing and managing stakeholder relationships with Real Estate Agents,

housing providers, state and federal authorities and the Department. The Team Leader Accommodation provides professional supervision and operational support to the Accommodation team to ensure the efficient provision of on-arrival services and suitable short and long-term accommodation to clients as required in line with contract requirement.

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in coordination of program operations in a leadership position and demonstrated experience in the Property/Real Estate sector
  • Sound working knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and Residential Leasing Principles and the ability to apply the legislative requirements
  • Solid understanding of compliance and quality principles relating to settlement services and the housing/tenancy area – such as Building Code compliance, Rooming House Standards, Occupancy Permits, Occupational Health & Safety and Essential Services - and the ability to quickly identify and interpret contractual requirements, and then to effectively apply processes to meet the requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal, written communication and cross cultural communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with contractual partners, service providers, employees at all levels, building owners and Real Estate agents as well as clients and their communities
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead a high-performing team to achieve or exceed Key Performance Indicators
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage stakeholder relationships to enhance client outcomes
  • Expertise in monitoring budget processes relating to commercial and residential properties, including the purchase of goods and services
  • Highly developed administrative and time management skills, highly organised, thorough, systems orientated with meticulous attention to detail and capable of managing large volumes of data
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to coordinate a process working independently and to strict timelines
  • High level conflict resolution and good negotiation skills demonstrating flexibility in working as part of a team
  • Intermediate computer skills with demonstrated experience in a number of software programs including Word, Excel, databases and web applications
  • Demonstrated positive values of integrity, reliability, teamwork and professionalism and demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvement principles
  • Applicants for this position must have a current, valid Drivers' Licence
  • Some After Hours work or being On Call may be required
  • It is a mandatory requirement for the position holder to have and maintain a current Working With Children Check (for employment purposes)
