Your new role

This is a 10-month temporary contract opportunity for an experienced Asset Investment Analyst. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality business cases and investment proposals that support the sustaining capital program. Your work will ensure capital planning is informed by asset condition, risk, and lifecycle intelligence, and aligns with strategic objectives and the Asset Investment Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop compelling business cases aligned with internal governance and Treasury requirements.
  • Integrate asset condition, risk, lifecycle cost, and investment rationale into structured proposals.
  • Engage with subject-matter experts to validate scope, assumptions, and technical inputs.
  • Lead or coordinate early-stage cost estimation using historical data and engineering input.
  • Analyse asset condition, risk, and performance to support investment prioritisation.
  • Contribute to investment sequencing and staging through scenario modelling and cost phasing.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or a commercial discipline (desirable).
  • Proven experience in delivering business cases and asset investment proposals.
  • Skilled in developing Treasury-level business cases with advanced communication skills.
  • Proficient in cost estimation and early project scoping.
  • Advanced financial and numerical modelling skills, including DCF analysis and scenario testing.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Word, and PowerPoint.
