We are seeking an analytically minded Finance professional to join a nationally recognised leader in crane hire and heavy lifting. This high-impact role is ideal for a seasoned finance expert who thrives in fast-paced, project-based environments and is passionate about turning financial insights into operational performance.

As a trusted advisor to the business, you will play a critical role in shaping financial strategy, improving business outcomes, and supporting the safe and profitable delivery of major infrastructure and construction projects across Australia.

Financial Analyst – Crane Hire & Heavy Lifting Industry

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse current and historical financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop financial models and reports to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
  • Build and maintain financial models for CAPEX proposals.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across branches.
  • Provide financial insights to stakeholders and leadership that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal and external use.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements.
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects, investment evaluations, and profitability analysis.

About You

  • CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Proven experience in asset-heavy industries such as construction, logistics, or plant hire
  • Strong financial modelling, problem solving and analytical skills, with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., D365), Excel, and Power BI
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to translate complex financial data into insightful information for our operations teams.
  • Skilled communicator with a track record of influencing stakeholders across operational and functional levels.
  • Proactive thinker with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Advanced level excel skills.
