Global Synthetics is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Customer Service Representative to join their team in Altona, Victoria. In this role, you'll manage the customer experience across quote creation, order processing, general servicing of customers and supporting external representatives.

Bring your enthusiasm for learning, customer focus, and proactive mindset to a supportive team that offers ongoing training —no industry experience required. This role offers excellent progression opportunities into an inside sales position and would suit a candidate looking to grow and develop their sales career in this evolving industry.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responding promptly to inbound enquiries via phone and email.
  • Accurately processing customer orders and maintaining up-to-date customer records.
  • Preparing and placing customer orders and quotes, following up and ensuring accurate and on-time delivery.
  • Placing purchase orders and maintaining stock accuracy.
  • Collaborating closely with the Sales and Operations teams.
  • Managing and supporting distributor relationships.
  • Ensuring an outstanding customer experience while developing and strengthening relationships.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in an inside sales or a customer-focused role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Experience using ERP and CRM systems (experience with SAP is an advantage).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and continually expand your knowledge.
  • Experience in transport, manufacturing, civil construction or a similar industry is advantageous.
