Job Purpose

We are looking for a Container Park Coordinator to join the team at our Container Park.  

You will be responsible for accurate and timely data entry, operational liaison with drivers and yard workers, paperwork processing and other duties required to support the daily running's and activities within the Logistics site. You will work closely with the Container Control, Rail, and Maintenance and Repair teams as well as work collaboratively with assisting the other operations functions in the business. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Use Modal to validate the import pre-booking details as supplied by shipping lines and customers ensuring all data is correct

  • Monitor pending bookings to ensure EDI is received for export booking from the shipping lines

  • Support general clerical duties such as answering telephone/email enquiries

  • Ensure all data for container movements is accurately recorded and maintained

  • Keep up to date on re-directions and changes of opening hours and communicate with customers to ensure efficient coordination of the yard and traffic flow

  • Conduct all duties and procedures in accordance with Australian Government DAWR regarding import fumigation and tailgate inspection units.

  • Managing the container inventory & maintenance and repair.

  • Assist and support other team members and departments when required

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in a data entry / administration role, preferably in a Logistics business

  • Knowledge of Container Park layouts is ideal but not essential.

  • High level organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Proven customer service skills and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible with time and ability to deal with conflicting priorities.

  • Excel skills
