About the Role:

We're looking for a creative, trend-savvy content creator (perfect for a uni student or someone early in their career) to work with The Floral Post on a weekly contractor basis. You'll be responsible for planning, editing, and publishing content that aligns with the brand's tone and aesthetic on Instagram and Tik Tok. This role is ideal for someone who's efficient, organised, and confident managing social media with minimal supervision.

Weekly Deliverables:

  • 7 Instagram reels
  • Repost those reels on IG stories with a short caption/commentary + product link
  • 7 TikToks (different to Instagram so they fit TikTok trends)
  • Come up with content ideas (I'll provide input sometimes, but I'd love you to take the lead)
  • Submit everything for approval before posting

Time Commitment:

  • This is a contractor role and should only take a few hours per week.
  • Content for both accounts must be prepared and delivered one week in advance for review and approval before publishing.
  • We'll do one in-person content day per month (sometimes every 2 weeks) to batch capture fresh content.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop fresh content ideas and create original Reels/photos
  • Write creative, relatable captions
  • Stay up to date with Instagram/TikTok trends and popular sounds
  • Create and manage a simple weekly/monthly content calendar

You're a great fit if you:

  • Have experience growing and managing Instagram accounts
  • Know how to spot and use trending formats and sounds
  • Can write short, engaging captions that feel fun and on-brand
  • Are proactive, organised, and can meet deadlines
  • Work well independently and value open communication

Bonus Points if You:

  • Use tools like CapCut, Canva, InShot etc.
  • Have experience with Instagram, TikTok, or social media in general
  • Have a background in marketing, sales, content creation, floristry, home décor, weddings, or lifestyle content
  • Can share a portfolio or Instagram accounts you've worked on

Payment:

  • $80 per week (flat rate for weekly deliverables)
  • $20/hr for in-person content days or ad hoc tasks outside the package
