We serve certified organic coffee from Quest Coffee Roasters, available both for purchase and in our delicious coffee creations.

We are looking for an experienced Barista / Day Manager to join our team

Position: Barista / Day Manager

Hours: 30+ hours/week (Casual full-time with the option to switch to full-time after 3 months)

Schedule: Between 5am and 3pm

Rate: $35.00 to $37.00 / hr + Super, Bonuses, and Penalty Rates

Location: Broadbeach, Gold Coast, QLD

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the happiness and effectiveness of our cafe team.
  • Maintain and enforce high-quality standards in service, food, drink, and cleanliness.
  • Grow our recurring customer base and achieve high Google ratings.
  • Manage shifts, including opening and closing.
  • Handle ordering and inventory management.
  • Perform barista and food handling duties alongside the team.
  • Engage with customers, run food and drinks, clear tables, and wash dishes.
  • Elevate the cafe experience for every customer.

ABOUT YOU

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 or more years of recent experience as a day or cafe manager
  • 4 or more years experience as a barista in high volume cafes
  • Strong listening and verbal communication skills
  • A strong understanding of health and safety
  • RSA or willingness to complete one within first month

NICE TO HAVE

  • Certification in Hospitality or related industry.
  • Baking or food handling experience.
  • Marketing / photography / or writing experience

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Australian citizen or resident with an appropriate long term visa to work in Australia
  • Availability to work at least 1 weekend day every week
  • Availability to work shifts from 5:15am to 3:00pm weekdays
  • Loves coffee and tea
  • Own transport to and from work
