Barista / Day Manager

Banksy Bar & Kitchen is a modern cafe and cocktail bar in Broadbeach, Gold Coast, QLD offering dine in and takeaway food and drink options. There is seating for 60-80 customers. Our focus is giving customers a comfortable and welcoming experience where ever detail has been considered for their comfort and enjoyment. Our coffee beans are certified organic, roasted by Quest Coffee Roasters, offered for purchase and used for coffee service. We have an opening for an experienced Barista / Day Manager at Banksy for 38hrs+ / week. Casual full time hours with option to switch to full time after 3 months.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure happiness and effectiveness of cafe team.
- Maintaining and enforcing high quality standards across cafe operations in food, drink, and cleanliness.
- Grow the recurring customer base and a high Google rating from their experience
- Running shifts, including open and close.
- Ordering.
- Barista and food handling responsibilities alongside the team.
- Uplifting the cafe experience for customers.
**ABOUT YOU**
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- 2 or more years of recent experience as a day or cafe manager
- 4 or more years experience as a barista
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills
- A strong understanding of health and safety
- RSA
NICE TO HAVE
- Certification in Hospitality or related industry.
- Baking or food handling experience.
- Marketing / photography / or writing experience
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Australian citizen or resident with an appropriate long term visa to work in Australia
- Availability to work at least 1 weekend day every week
- Availability to work shifts from 4:45am to 3:00pm weekdays
- Loves coffee and tea
- Own transport to and from work
