Banksy Bar & Kitchen is a modern cafe and cocktail bar located in Broadbeach, Gold Coast, QLD. We offer a stylish and welcoming atmosphere for dine-in and takeaway, with seating for up to 80 customers. offering dine in and takeaway food and drink options. Our commitment is to provide an exceptional customer experience, with every detail carefully considered for their comfort and enjoyment. We serve certified organic coffee from Quest Coffee Roasters, available both for purchase and in our delicious coffee creations.

**We are looking for an experienced Barista / Day Manager to join our team**

**Position**: Barista / Day Manager
**Hours**: 30+ hours/week (Casual full-time with the option to switch to full-time after 3 months)
**Schedule**: Between 5am and 3pm
**Rate**: $35.00 to $37.00 / hr + Super, Bonuses, and Penalty Rates
**Location**: Broadbeach, Gold Coast, QLD

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure the happiness and effectiveness of our cafe team.
- Maintain and enforce high-quality standards in service, food, drink, and cleanliness.
- Grow our recurring customer base and achieve high Google ratings.
- Manage shifts, including opening and closing.
- Handle ordering and inventory management.
- Perform barista and food handling duties alongside the team.
- Engage with customers, run food and drinks, clear tables, and wash dishes.
- Elevate the cafe experience for every customer.

**ABOUT YOU**

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- 2 or more years of recent experience as a day or cafe manager
- 4 or more years experience as a barista in high volume cafes
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills
- A strong understanding of health and safety
- RSA or willingness to complete one within first month

NICE TO HAVE
- Certification in Hospitality or related industry.
- Baking or food handling experience.
- Marketing / photography / or writing experience

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Australian citizen or resident with an appropriate long term visa to work in Australia
- Availability to work at least 1 weekend day every week
- Availability to work shifts from 5:15am to 3:00pm weekdays
- Loves coffee and tea
- Own transport to and from work
