We are currently partnering with an ASX listed retailer that services millions of customers through its extensive physical footprint and rapidly growing online platforms. This Senior Commercial Analyst role will partner with commercial, operations, and IT team with data-driven insights to ensure alignment in business performance and goals. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on turning raw data into meaningful business insights and enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders to drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end analysis and business casing of strategic projects, including scenario modelling and investment recommendations.
  • Partner with commercial, operations, IT, and more to ensure alignment in business performance and goals.
  • Own the capital forecast process
  • Monitor project costs and drive financial governance to mitigate risks.
  • Lead the presentation of insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership groups.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess performance against business cases and identify opportunities.
  • Mentor and coach junior analysts in the team.

Skills and Experience:

  • 6-10 years' experience in a strategic, commercial, or financial analysis role
  • Degree and CA/CPA qualified
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders including GM and C-suite level
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and navigate difficult stakeholders and conversations
  • You are a self-starter and driven to progress your career
  • You see yourself developing into a leadership role in the next few years
  • Strong modelling and forecasting skills
