City of Newcastle (CN) is seeking a dedicated and reliable Landfill Operator with an HR license to join our Waste and Landfill Operations team with a focus on safety, high-quality customer service outcomes and operational efficiency, including an emphasis on continuous improvement.

Based at Summerhill Waste Management Centre and operating 364 days of the year, you'll assist with and ensure the smooth, safe and efficient operation of the Waste Disposal, Recycling and Reuse Facility, drawing upon your proven machine operating experience and experience in the operation of site plant and machinery including but not limited to excavator, dozer, skidsteer loader, front-end loader, grader, and dump truck.

This role is one of the main interaction points with our customers and is the 'champion' of safe, compliant, and efficient Landfill Operations. The role is crucial in minimising environmental impact and is required to educate and assist our customers (internal/external) to reduce waste to landfill and promote sustainable practices.

Remuneration: $73, $15.71 per day Site Conditions Allowance + 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment + 12% Superannuation per annum for a 38-hour week.
