We are seeking a seasoned and visionary practitioner to lead strategic and tactical efforts in Corporate Social Responsibility, Social Impact, and Community Relations across the Kmart Group, including Kmart Australia and New Zealand, Target Australia, and Anko Global.

In this senior role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing initiatives that strengthen our community engagement, programs and partnerships and safeguard the reputation of our brands. You'll design and deliver impactful programs and campaigns that reflect our values and commitment to social responsibility, while providing expert guidance to the Head of Corporate Affairs and Community and collaborating closely with key stakeholders across the business.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the social footprint of some of Australia and New Zealand's most iconic retail brands, driving meaningful change and fostering lasting relationships with the communities we serve.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior Community Manager, you will be responsible for:

Align community programs with business strategy to enhance internal and external visibility.Drive innovation through new initiatives and pilot programs that grow community impact.Partner with Corporate Affairs to refine social impact and team engagement strategies.Support Diversity & Inclusion efforts and contribute to broader brand and functional goals.Manage budgets, processes, and competing priorities while engaging across all business levels.Lead crisis response planning and ensure compliance with RAP, sustainability, and anti-discrimination reporting.Develop and execute communication plans, including media releases and strategic messaging.Champion wellbeing, Indigenous Affairs, and charity partnerships to deliver meaningful social impact.

To be successful, you'll have:

Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience across complex national or international businesses, with expertise in reputation, risk, and issues management, including oversight of external agencies.Strong background in social impact and cause-related initiatives, with a focus on youth-related topics and community engagement across all levels of the organization.Strong written, verbal, and event management skills, with proven ability to negotiate and influence effectively.Highly organised with sharp attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, and database management.Inclusive communicator who builds quick rapport and engages compassionately across diverse communities and teams.Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and resilience under pressure, with a commitment to social advocacy and internal wellbeing.Maintains high confidentiality and commercial acumen while navigating complex social issues and business environments.
