About the Role 

This position is situated within the firm's central administration and finance stream, playing an essential role in managing client and matter information, as well as supporting billing-related activities.

You'll be involved in setting up new matters, maintaining accurate records, and providing general administrative support across the revenue cycle. The role suits someone who enjoys structure, is comfortable using systems, and prefers work where accuracy and consistency really matter.

Every day will bring a mix of routine processes and tasks that require problem-solving, communication, and coordination with different teams across the firm.

In this role, you will support the smooth administration of client and matter processes across the firm. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Setting up new client and matter files in the firm's practice management system, including carrying out initial checks, searches, and data validation
  • Reviewing, updating, and maintaining client and matter information to ensure completeness, accuracy, and data integrity
  • Assisting with the preparation, issuing, and tracking of engagement letters, cost agreements, and related legal documentation
  • Monitoring basic risk and compliance requirements and escalating items to the relevant internal team
  • Providing billing and accounts administration support, including preparing information for invoicing and coordinating with fee earners
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to company registrations, trust documentation, or similar legal processes, under guidance
  • Coordinating workflow tasks and supporting internal stakeholders to ensure timely processing and adherence to internal procedures
  • Offering general administrative support across the central services team, including records management, data entry, and routine reporting
  • Ensuring all work aligns with firm policies, service standards, and expected turnaround times

About You

We're looking for someone who is comfortable working in a structured professional environment and has a steady, detail-focused approach to their work.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • Experience in an administration, accounts, or support role within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Exposure to billing, receivables, or financial administration is highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when working with data and documentation
  • Clear and confident communication skills with the ability to work well with colleagues across different teams
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to organise your workload and follow through on tasks
  • Confidence working with matter, billing, or practice management systems, plus intermediate Excel skills
  • The ability to manage a consistent volume of work and competing priorities calmly and efficiently
