On Offer:
- Based in Dubbo, NSW
- Part-time (0.6 FTE) permanent opportunity - the 3 days are over Friday, Saturday and a half day Sunday.

Role Overview:
- To encourage and support the recovery process of people with a mental illness.
- To use personal lived experience of mental health recovery to connect with consumers and provide support in a recovery-oriented, person-centred, and strengths-based way.

- Provide support to a Day Program that will consist primarily of group work focusing on psychoeducational, skills development, recovery, healthy lifestyles and community connectedness.
- Delivering mental health programs in a voluntary inpatient unit setting
- Provide support that is sensitive, client focused, community oriented and planned.
- Workdays will be Thursdays, Fridays and a half day Sunday
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Cert IV in Peer Work or Community services related discipline (ideally a completed degree or Diploma)
- Experience and skills in working with people experiencing mental illness
- Experience in facilitating group programs
- Possess awareness of the needs, expectations and issues pertaining to clients with mental illness
- Demonstrate effective listening, communication skills, empathy; and the capacity to relate with others with dignity and respect.
- Have a strong client focused and recovery-based philosophy
- Ability to work in partnership with clients, family/ carers, and other social and community networks
- Ability to implement and facilitate planned activities resulting in greater community access and support
- Good computer skills
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC
- Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
- Current Drivers License
