We are a privately-owned diversified coal business in the renowned Bowen Basin of Central Queensland. Our team is made up of individuals who want to deliver value through innovation and who are given the opportunity to put their potential to work. We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Health, Safety & Training Advisor to join the small team at our Broadlea Open Cut.

Broadlea is an open cut mine located ~9km northwest of Carborough Downs, sharing key surface infrastructure including the CHPP and train load out facilities. To ensure sustainable operations, Broadlea's mining method will initially involve excavator and truck operations as we work towards introducing a diesel electrical crawler Dragline in the near future.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Training (HST) Administrator to join our team at our Surface Operations, Broadlea open cut mine. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Health, Safety, Training and Risk (HSTR) department and broader operational teams.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Provide and maintain a safe workplace by actively following the safety systems and ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.
  • Provide high-quality administrative support such as meeting coordination, minute-taking, document preparation, data entry, and general clerical duties.
  • Entering training records into the training management database
  • Filing and storage of digital records on the network drive and filing of hardcopy records (where required).
  • Assist with daily, weekly and monthly reporting as required
  • Assist with the coordination of site familiarisations / inductions

About You

  • Minimum 1 year experience in administration (preferred)
  • Administration experience in a high-volume environment (preferred)
  • Experience with training management systems and data entry
  • Ability to work autonomously and organise work priorities
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Awareness of appropriate legislation and standards
  • Good written, verbal communication skills
