In Australia, we're continuing to grow, and we're looking for a passionate Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at Isaac Downs Mine in Moranbah, QLD.

About the Role

Reporting to the HST Manager, you'll be the go to person for all things health and safety on site. You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Drive a strong safety culture and support legislative compliance
  • Develop and improve safety systems, plans and procedures
  • Lead risk assessments and incident investigations (ICAM)
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and training to operational teams
  • Support audits, assurance programs and contractor compliance
  • Identify trends, analyse performance and deliver improvement initiatives

Roster - 7 on 7 off Day shift only,  enjoy a great work life balance being only 20 minutes from Moranbah.

What We're Looking For

  • We're after a safety professional who's confident on site and enjoys working with people. To succeed, you'll bring:
  • Experience in a site-based HST role (mining or heavy industry)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – you can influence and engage at all levels
  • Solid understanding of QLD Coal legislation, risk management and safety systems
  • Must have (or be willing to obtain):

  • Standard 11 (Surface Coal Mining Induction – QLD)

  • Coal Board Medical

  • ICAM Lead Investigator
  • Supervisor Competencies (S123) + G2
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety (or higher)
  • Current QLD Driver's Licence (C Class minimum)
  • Nice to have: Training & Assessment (Cert IV TAE), auditing, rehab/RTW experience, and advanced risk management competencies (G3, G7).
