Asset Integrity Management (AIM) Services is part of the Industry Services Global Business Line, and it includes Advanced NDT, Materials Testing, In-Service Inspection, Failure Analysis, Welding Services, Engineering Consulting and software services.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-focused NDT Technical Report Writer for an approximate fixed-term contract from December 2025 to January 2027. The role is part time, 24 hours per week. Within this role, you will support our NDT operations by converting technicians' field data into accurate, compliant, and client-ready reports. You will play a key role in maintaining our reporting standards and ensuring high-quality documentation is delivered consistently throughout the contract period.
Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe NDT Technicians' field data into standardised report templates.
- Ensure all reporting meets internal, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Identify and resolve errors, inconsistencies, and missing information.
- Submit completed reports for approval.
- Maintain document control and accurate archiving.
- Liaise with technicians, supervisors, and clients where clarification is required.
- Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with general office administration, as required.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 2 years' experience in NDT, inspection services, or similar technical report writing is desirable.
- Understanding of ISO quality systems and NDT standards (ISO, ASNT, AINDT).
- Excellent written communication and technical report writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data transcription.
- Ability to interpret inspection data and some experience reading engineering drawings.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads to deadlines.
- Professional and collaborative communication style.
