This role is based in our Head Office, Grosvenor Place, Sydney.  The office is within walking distance from the train station.  There are plenty of options for lunch and catching up with colleagues or friends after work. 

How you'll make an impact The Senior Procurement Specialist is primarily responsible for administering contracts across the organisation in order to deliver value and manage vendor risk. This will suit someone who is process minded and can use initiative to get things done.

The role of Senior Procurement Specialist is to deliver value and manage risk through best practice administration of procurement contracts whilst also providing support to the Procurement Team and key business stakeholders. The role needs focus on timely execution, good governance, risk management and continuous improvement 

Your usual day in the office will include:

  • Providing specialist advice, drafting and supporting the negotiation of vendor contracts, whilst ensuring contracts are executed in a timely manner
  • Liaising with internal business areas, legal teams and vendors to manage contracts to influence and deliver value and on time outcomes
  • Ensuring our vendor and contract systems and records are accurate and up to date
  • Ensuring governance and compliance of contracy activities to company policies & procedures
  • Monitoring and reporting in relation to vendors and contracts to lead and support problem solving and continuous improvement

Your attributes

  • Business or commercial degree or tertiary qualification desirable
  • 5 years' accumulative experience contract administration, vendor management or procurement
  • Qualification or studying for relevant professional qualification desirable (eg CIPS)
  • Understanding of Information Technology contracts
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Effective working as a team and as an individual contributor
