The Senior Procurement Specialist will work closely with various stakeholders, including Heads of Business Units and Senior Management, Project Managers, IT teams, and suppliers to ensure the procurement framework is efficient and effective from a speed, cost, and risk perspective.
The role will work collaboratively with local management teams to identify opportunities and implement solutions to enable the overall delivery of Fujitsus solutions. You will also act as the SME on procurement policies & procedures to ensure the business operates efficiently and effectively.
About the role
- Lead procurement strategies for business units and sourcing activities across Australia & New Zealand. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement needs are accurately met
- Undertake business requirements definition, supply market trend analysis and commercial risk assessments to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions
- Develop, co-ordinate and lead sourcing activities to establish supply arrangements that meet business needs
- Develop strategic proposals and deliver presentations to senior leadership for endorsement
- Support and align business & procurement requirements between local business and global supply chain unit teams
- Plan and lead contract negotiations and review of supply arrangements to deliver value for money procurement outcomes
- Partner with staff from across the organisation providing high level advice and guidance to build expertise in procurement, provide governance and improve procurement practice and outcomes
About you
- Minimum of 5 years in Procurement or Supply Chain
- Qualifications in Business, Law, Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred
- Procurement experience ideally across both direct and indirect categories
- Advanced procurement Skills, specifically in supplier management
- Demonstrated contract negotiation and management capability
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills
